Apple Addiction

The first thing I feel that I should point out is the style used in this work: it doesn't work at all. I know this is suppossed to be a funny work, and the design it's important for the joke. However, this method of trying to conserve the anime style but making the heads big it's pretty over the top and doesn't help in the humor, it's some uncomfortable. I know this is part of the nature of the famous Chibi style, design that I support and I like, but the only Chibi-related feautre seen here is the big head, the body is not at all translated to that style too: the arms and legs lenghts aren't adapated, the black line isn't thick enough, and even the heads doens't have any more fatures to enter in that style. However,, the color shades are well put and the characters are recognizable.

OK, the style isn't that good-looking, however, this design works perfectly in the Humor field: the "Ryuk loves apple" joke is a classic that still work even being portrayed in many others work, this is not an exception. Not only the joke works for the conversation, but it's really helped by the characters' expressions, and even how their dialog bubbles are drawn differently; and it's really well appreaciatted the detail of the potato chips bags: it brings a little gigles.

In resume, the works triumphs without any doubts in bringing us the joe, but the design needs a little more work. A pretty good drawing.
